The "Heidelberg Forum for Young Life Scientists" is an international, inter-institutional and interdisciplinary conference in Heidelberg organized by the PhD student representatives from the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), the Hartmut Hoffmann-Berling International Graduate School of Molecular and Cellular Biology (HBIGS), the Exzellenzcluster CellNetworks, the Center for Molecular Biology Heidelberg (ZMBH) and the Max-Planck Institute for Medical Research (MPImF).

Each research institute in Heidelberg focuses on distinct aspects of life science. Thus, the "Heidelberg Forum for Young Life Scientists" will serve as an ideal opportunity to bring together the diverse know-how of scientists from the Heidelberg institutes and expertise of renowned researchers from abroad.

With PhD students of different nationalities and varied educational backgrounds, we hope to create a highly interdisciplinary and interactive atmosphere which will promote networking among students from the different institutes.
