Lab Training Program and Application Requirements

We offer

  • up to 90 days stay
  • integration in top-notch research groups in the fields of biology, medicine, bioinformatics and biophysics
  • own research project
  • a chance to present at research seminars
  • opportunity to gain technical experience
  • funding for traveling and housing (board not included)
  • experience of German language and culture
  • one month of language courses and excursions in and around Heidelberg (August only)

 

We are looking for

  • students of biology, medicine, biophysics or bioinformatics
  • at least four years of academic study
  • a genuine interest in research
  • outstanding grades

We expect candidates to have a superior educational record, high self-motivation and strong dedication to science and research. No German language skills are required!

  • two letters of recommendation
  • a motivation statement
  • your proposed starting date and period of time
  • Three preferred host labs among our top reseachers here. Your local coordinator will help you choosing the appropriate field of research as well as associated scientists. Application without host or who only name the general research area will automatically be rejected from the selection process.
