Postdoc (f/m/x)

We are interested in the molecular basis of axon growth during development and regeneration. The Postdoc-project will focus on the interactions of cell adhesion molecules with other types of proteins and the impact of these interactions on axon elongation and navigation. Substantial amounts of data have already been collected for several projects; the Postdoc is therefore expected to complete and publish these studies. In addition to these basic research projects, also a new translational project should be started aiming at the improvement of axon regeneration. We are looking for a self-motivated person with a background in molecular and cellular biology, ideally within the area of neurosciences.

We are a small but well equipped group with access to all the excellent facilities on the campus. The position is available for up to two years; please send your applications until March 1st, 2019.

Payment will be according to German TV-L, E13 (full time; also part time possible).

Please send your CV, relevant certificates, and a short letter of motivation (all documents as one pdf file) to G.E.Pollerberg [ aT ] cos.uni-heidelberg. Preference will be given to disabled applicants with equal qualifications. For further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact Elisabeth Pollerberg.
